Abstract

Developing new early-maturing varieties and initial forms with high fiber quality and high yield, adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the republic, is one of the main tasks facing the breeding science of our country. Therefore, creating early-maturing, productive initial forms with a high lint percentage and fiber quality that fully meets world standards through the hybridization of ecologically and geographically distant, i.e. Chinese, accessions with local varieties is a key pressing issue today. Accordingly, the article determines the fiber length, micronaire, relative breaking strength of the fiber, the spinnability coefficient as one of the fiber quality indicators, the degree of dominance (hp) and the compliance of fiber quality with world standards in the studied Chinese varieties, local varieties and F1 hybrids.
