Yield of early-ripening apple cultivars and its relationship with earliness
Main Article Content
Abstract
Yield and marketable fruit share of 10 early-ripening apple cultivars in 2024–2026 are reported. The highest yields were obtained from Katta Jonaqi (47.6 t/ha; 14.4 % above the standard), Williams’ Pride (45.8 t/ha) and Qizil Jonaqi (44.7 t/ha). Ripening date correlated strongly with yield (r = 0.92): the earliest cultivars yielded 4.8–9.9 % less than the standard. Targeted crosses are needed to combine earliness and productivity.
