Abstract

This article presents the results of research conducted on the influence of various preparation methods for eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) seedlings (traditional open-pit pitting, cultivation in cassettes and peat cubes) on plant growth, development phenology, leaf surface area, and overall yield. According to the research results, seedlings grown on a special substrate in a 54-cell cassette showed a 98–100% germination rate in the field, and an increase in early yield by 45.6% and total yield by 39.1% (12.5 t/ha) was achieved compared to the traditional pikirovka method.
