Abstract
The article describes the species of annual and perennial weeds widespread in cotton fields, their negative impact on cotton yield and fiber quality, and the integrated control measures applied against them. The timing and rates of tillage and of effective herbicide application (including products such as Stomp and Select) are analyzed, and it is shown that high efficiency is achieved by combining agrotechnical and chemical methods in a balanced way.
