Identification of promising phenologically diverse sources by growing season length in the quince gene pool
Main Article Content
Abstract
In 2022–2024, the onset and end of the growing season, the length of the growing season and the sum of effective temperatures were evaluated for 33 cultivars and accessions from the quince (Cydonia oblonga Mill.) gene pool. Across the gene pool, the growing season began on average on 12 March and ended on 28 November; its average length was 261.4 days, and the sum of effective temperatures was 2931.84 °C. Among the cultivars and accessions, the length of the growing season varied from 250.1 to 265.3 days, and the difference between them reached 15.2 days.
