Abstract

These types of figs, the first to a lesser extent, the second to a greater extent, have been the object of folk selection, which has allowed us to constantly select large-fruited forms from natural fig plantations and create new productive forms and varieties. In the distant past, large-fruited fig forms, created and cultivated by our people in various ways, became known as “Bread figs” and began to be widely cultivated by the population as valuable fruit trees.
