Review of root and tuber crop digging tools for walk-behind tractors
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article analyzes the design features and operating principles of digging tools for root and tuber crops that are coupled with walk-behind tractors. In particular, the design, advantages and disadvantages of sweep-type, vibrating and conveyor-type potato diggers are examined. The main factors affecting the processes of digging up the soil layer containing the roots and tubers, lifting it and separating the tubers from the soil are studied. The need to improve the design parameters of digging tools for the efficient use of low-power walk-behind tractors under the diverse soil conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan is substantiated.
