Abstract

The article considers the prospects for using natural juvenile fish that migrate downstream along the Amu Darya River and the canals of its irrigation system for the development of fish farming in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Particular attention is paid to studying the patterns of the downstream migration of juvenile fish, assessing their species composition and abundance, and the possibilities of using larvae and fry for stocking lakes, ponds and reservoirs.
