Abstract

This paper examines the technology for producing hydrogel wound dressings based on the interaction between sodium alginate, a polysaccharide contained in the brown alga Laminaria, and calcium chloride (CaCl2). The study analyzes the conditions of hydrogel structure formation, its physicochemical parameters, water absorption and the ability to retain moisture for a long time. The efficiency of the resulting hydrogels in accelerating wound healing and in improving the absorption of medicinal substances was evaluated. The experimental results substantiate the prospects of using this biomaterial in regenerative medicine and pharmaceutics as an environmentally safe and highly effective biological dressing.
