Abstract

This article examines the potential for biotechnological activation of a local Uzbek glauconite mineral using the filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger and its possible application in the development of phosphorus-containing fertilizers. The study aims to investigate glauconite in a nutrient medium and assess the potential for increasing the mobility of mineral components through microbial activity. In a preliminary experiment, glauconite was introduced into a liquid wort-based medium and observed for 11 days. Organic acids produced by Aspergillus niger may influence the solubility of certain mineral components. However, the effectiveness of this process must be confirmed by laboratory measurements of medium pH, water-soluble phosphorus and potassium, and changes in mineral composition. The research is intended to establish a scientific basis for developing fertilizers from local mineral resources using biotechnological approaches.
