Abstract

The taxonomic affiliation, NaCl tolerance, and phytohormone-related functional potential of bacterial isolates recovered from saline soil were evaluated. MALDI-TOF MS analysis identified the isolates as Bacillus halotolerans, B. rugosus, B. safensis, and B. pumilus. As the NaCl concentration increased from 5% to 15%, the proportion of isolates retaining growth ability decreased from 84.6% to 53.8%. Some isolates simultaneously exhibited tolerance to high salt stress and phytohormone-related colorimetric activity.
