Abstract

Pseudomonosis is one of the bacterial diseases occurring in cyprinid fish under aquaculture conditions and is associated with pathological changes of the external integument, gills, and internal organs of varying severity. In addition to bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, the development of the disease is influenced by poor water quality, high stocking density, inadequate feeding, and stress factors. This article examines the main clinical and pathomorphological signs of pseudomonosis in cyprinid fish, histological changes in internal organs, and their diagnostic significance. Particular attention is also given to preventive and control measures, including sanitary and hygienic practices, water-quality monitoring, quarantine, farm biosecurity, and the rational use of antibacterial drugs based on laboratory diagnostic results and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
