Ecological characteristics and functional significance of insects in the Stevia rebaudiana agrocenosis
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article examines the ecological composition, feeding characteristics, seasonal activity, and functional significance of insects recorded in Stevia rebaudiana agrocenosis. A total of 23 insect species were identified, including 19 phytophagous species and 4 parasitoids. Sap-feeding species predominated among phytophagous insects. Their potential damage and the role of parasitoids in biological control are discussed.
