Abstract

The article examines the concepts of family and marriage from philosophical, socio-legal, and historical perspectives. Based on the Constitution of New Uzbekistan and the Family Code, the article analyzes the role of the family in society, the legal foundations of marriage, its voluntariness, age requirements, as well as various legal restrictions related to marriage. The author pays special attention to Uzbek family traditions, moral values, mutual relationships within the family, and issues of personal freedom. Additionally, traditional views on marriage and family, based on Islamic fiqh sources, are presented on a scientific basis. In conclusion, marriage and family are considered as essential institutions for the stability and spiritual development of society.
