Abstract

Carbonaceous adsorbents are obtained from various organic wastes - bark, wood chips, fruit pits and by activation. The quality of vegetable oils directly depends on the amount of free fatty acids, pigments, oxidation products and other impurities in their composition. This study examined the effect of chemical activation on the adsorption properties of vegetable oils in the adsorption purification method. In order to obtain a carbonaceous adsorbent from plum and apricot pits as an adsorbent, they were thermally pyrolyzed. Chemical activation is carried out using various chemical reagents. Potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, potassium and sodium carbonate are widely used. As a result of the interaction of carbon with a chemical reagent, crystallites are obtained. The quality of vegetable oils directly depends on the amount of free fatty acids, pigments, oxidation products and other impurities in their composition. This study examined the effect of chemical activation on the adsorption properties of vegetable oils in the adsorption purification method. In order to obtain a carbon adsorbent from plum and apricot kernels as an adsorbent, they were thermally pyrolyzed. Chemical activation is carried out using various chemical reagents. Potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, potassium and sodium carbonate are widely used. As a result of the interaction of carbon with a chemical reagent, crystallites are formed.
