Abstract

This thesis examines the impact of childhood trauma on adolescent development and mental health. The study examined the impact of childhood trauma on emotional, cognitive, social, and personal development based on an analysis of international and local scientific literature. A systematic review of the literature summarized the results of various studies. The results showed that childhood trauma is strongly associated with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the risk of self-harm. It was also found that childhood trauma leads to social isolation, academic difficulties, and instability in personality formation. The thesis concludes by emphasizing the need to propose psychological support programs and preventive measures to mitigate the effects of childhood trauma.
