Abstract
This article analyzes the importance of the medicinal plant chufa (Cyperus esculentus Lativum) in improving the living standards of the population and solving socio-economic problems. In Uzbekistan, (Cyperus esculentus Lativum) is receiving great attention as a new oil plant. The main goal of this study is to adapt chufa to local conditions, introduce it to farmers, and provide the population with nutritious vegetable oil. Development in this area is of great importance for strengthening agricultural potential and public health. The bioecological properties of the plant and the possibilities of using it in agriculture with environmentally friendly methods are considered.
