Abstract
This article analyzes the role of national culture in the formation of the Uzbek people in the 6th–7th centuries. The article shows the formation of national identity through the political, social and cultural context of the period, the unification of Turkic tribes and their cultural synthesis with local peoples. It also highlights the contribution of cultural centers, art, literature, architecture and traditions to Uzbek culture. The results of the study emphasize the importance of medieval culture in today's Uzbek national culture.
