MORAL ISSUES IN VALENTINE RASPUTIN'S PROSE

Abstract

This thesis examines the moral
issues of Valentin Rasputin's prose as a crucial component of his artistic world. Primary attention is paid to understanding the individual's moral choices, the role of
historical memory, and the value orientations that shape the characters' inner worlds. It is shown that the contradiction between the
traditional way of life and historical change
becomes a source of moral tension in the writer's works. It is concluded that Rasputin's addressing
moral questions imbues his prose with a universal humanistic resonance.
