DEVELOPING STUDENTS' LINGUOPRAGMATIC COMPETENCE BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF THE COLOR "RED" IN ENGLISH AND UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
This article analyzes the concept of the color “red” in English and Uzbek from a linguopragmatic perspective. The semantic, cultural, and emotional characteristics of color-related lexical units are examined comparatively. The study highlights synonymic series, contextual usage, and expressive meanings associated with the color red in both languages. The findings reveal that English possesses a wider range of color expressions with detailed semantic distinctions, whereas Uzbek demonstrates fewer but more culturally rich and figurative representations.
