THE IMPORTANCE OF EXERCISES AND ASSIGNMENTS IN DEVELOPING STUDENTS' COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN ENGLISH AND THEIR ANALYTICAL BASIS

Abstract
This article examines the types of exercises and tasks designed to develop oral communicative competence in primary school English lessons, as well as effective methods for their implementation. The importance of oral and written speech exercises in foreign language learning is analyzed. The role and significance of exercises in the process of foreign language acquisition are discussed from a scientific and theoretical perspective. The concept of an exercise is interpreted in both static and dynamic aspects, and the system of exercises is viewed as a means of forming linguistic and speech skills. In addition, the methodological importance of indicators for mastering the types of speech activity (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) in foreign language teaching is substantiated. The article is intended for researchers, teachers, and students involved in foreign language methodology.
