THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL NETWORKS ON THE ENGLISH LEARNING PROCESS

Abstract

In our era of rapid development of information technologies, social networks are finding their place in science and education, and at the same time, they do not fail to show their influence on the process of learning languages, especially for learning and teaching English. This article is aimed at researching the role and influence of social networks in the process of learning English. In recent years, the influence of content on social network pages such as Instagram, You Tube and Tik Tok on language skills is considered. In the continuation of the research, using the methods of observation and analysis, the role of increasing vocabulary, listening comprehension and oral speech was determined. At the same time, negative aspects such as the direction of attention to other things and the influence of incorrect language patterns are also highlighted. Research results show that purposeful and conscious use of social networks increases the effectiveness of learning all languages, but also English.
