THE ISSUE OF TYPES AND GENRES IN ARISTOTLE'S "POETICS"

Abstract
This article analyzes Aristotle’s work Poetics and examines the issues of literary types and genres presented in it. In order to provide complete information during the analysis, a survey was conducted among 7 participants. The survey results were illustrated using two diagrams (My Chart). The results of the survey were relatively high, which indicates that Aristotle’s theory is in harmony with modern literature as well. In the methodology section, descriptive, historicalrecommendatory, comparative, and sociolinguistic methods were used. These methods helped to make the work more understandable and demonstrated scholars’ attitudes toward this work.
