Abstract

This thesis analyzes Erkin A’zam’s short story “The Lonely Boat” from linguocultural, cognitive-semantic and axiological perspectives. In the narrative, the concepts of “boat” and “loneliness” are interpreted as symbols of an individual’s spiritual isolation, inner crisis and value conflict with society. The study demonstrates that the image of the boat functions as an artistic and aesthetic model reflecting the communicative disconnection between the individual and society.
