Abstract
This article explores the effectiveness of communicative
language teaching activities in enhancing fluency and coherence among
Uzbek EFL students who are preparing for the IELTS examination. The
study focuses on communicative tasks such as discussions, role-plays,
problem-solving exercises and storytelling activities that encourage
learners to make fluent speech and organize their ideas effectively. In
addition, the research investigates the role of modern digital technologies
and artificial intelligence-assisted tools in contributing to speaking
practice and providing automated feedback on speech performance.
