Abstract

This article analyzes the grammatical features of the
plural in Uzbek and English. In Uzbek, the plural is primarily expressed
with "-lar / -ler," while in English, it is expressed with "-s / -es" and
irregular forms. The strengthening of the plural with numbers and words
denoting quantity is also considered. The article identifies similarities
and differences in the plural and is useful in linguistics and foreign
language study.
