Abstract

This article discusses the importance of developing
critical thinking skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classes.
In modern education, students need not only language knowledge but
also the ability to think independently, analyze information, and make
decisions. The study highlights the role of Problem-Based Learning
(PBL) in enhancing critical thinking skills. It also examines how critical
thinking improves speaking skills, decision-making, and communicative
competence. The role of teachers in fostering these skills is emphasized
as a key factor.
