METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING READING LITERACY AND INDEPENDENT ESSAY WRITING SKILLS IN STUDENTS

Abstract
In modern society, the ability to correctly perceive and analyse information and to express it clearly and coherently in writing is of great importance for every individual. The article considers the task of developing students’ reading literacy in Uzbek language education together with their skills of independent thinking and creative essay writing. It describes effective methods and techniques for working with a text, analysing it and developing written speech step by step, as well as ways of forming listening comprehension skills.
