Abstract

In recent years, innovative teaching approaches have
become increasingly important in language education. One of the most
effective approaches is game-based learning, which integrates
educational content with game elements to enhance students’ motivation
and engagement. This article explores the role of game-based learning in
English language classes and analyzes how it influences students’
participation, motivation, and language acquisition. The study highlights  that games can create a more interactive learning environment and help
students develop language skills in a natural and meaningful way. In
addition, the paper discusses potential challenges associated with
implementing game-based learning in classrooms. The findings suggest
that when used thoughtfully, game-based learning can significantly
improve the effectiveness of English language teaching and support
student-centered learning
