Abstract

In the field of foreign language instruction, technological
tools have created innovative opportunities for improving vocabulary
acquisition and learner engagement. Digital platforms, multimedia
materials, and mobile applications allow students to encounter new
lexical items through visual, auditory, and contextual experiences. Such
exposure contributes to a deeper understanding of word meanings and
supports long-term retention of vocabulary in memory. Furthermore,
digital learning environments provide flexible conditions that enable earners to study independently and at their own pace. Teachers can
integrate various technological resources, including online dictionaries,
interactive exercises, educational videos, and language-learning
applications, in order to make lessons more dynamic and effective. These
resources encourage active participation and promote autonomous
learning strategies among students.
However, the effective integration of technological resources
requires careful pedagogical planning and appropriate methodological
approaches. Educators must select digital tools that correspond to
instructional goals and learners’ proficiency levels. This article explores
the role of digital technologies in teaching English vocabulary and
analyzes both their educational advantages and possible limitations in
contemporary classrooms
