Abstract

The purpose of this article is to conduct a comparative
analysis of the artistic expression of national mentality and universal
values in Uzbek and English children's and adolescents' literature.
Comparative-historical, hermeneutic and typological approaches were
used in the research process. The results of the analysis show that while
collectivist values prevail in Uzbek children's literature, individualistic
views occupy a leading position in English literature. As a scientific
novelty, the differences in the educational model and methods of artistic
expression in Eastern and Western children's literature were identified.
