Abstract

This paper examines effective methods for teaching
headed and headless compounds within English morphology by
incorporating modern educational technologies. Compounding, as a key
mechanism of word formation, often creates difficulties for learners due
to its structural diversity and semantic complexity. The study focuses on
the distinction between endocentric (headed) and exocentric (headless)
compounds and demonstrates how digital tools, interactive platforms,
and artificial intelligence can facilitate better understanding. The
findings suggest that technology-enhanced instruction contributes to
improved learner engagement, deeper morphological awareness, and
more efficient acquisition of lexical knowledge.
