THE ROLE OF POTTERY ART IN MODERN FINE ART

Abstract
This article offers a scientific and theoretical analysis of the historical development of the art of pottery, its place within folk applied art, and its significance in contemporary fine art. In the course of the study, the process by which pottery has evolved from traditional functional features into a means of contemporary artistic expression is elucidated. The article also analyses the application of ceramic elements in the work of contemporary artists within conceptual, decorative, and installation art. It reveals the role of pottery in expressing national identity, its integration processes within the global art space, and its pedagogical and aesthetic significance. The results of the study show that the place of pottery in contemporary fine art is steadily expanding and that it constitutes an important instrument in the development of artistic thinking.
