FORM, COLOUR, LIGHT AND AERIAL PERSPECTIVE IN STILL-LIFE COMPOSITION

Abstract
This article analyzes the interrelationship of form, color, light, shade, and aerial perspective in a still life composition and their role in shaping artistic expressiveness. The study elucidates the questions of determining volume, weight, and the compositional center through the form of objects and their color relationships in a still life. The warm and cool properties of colors, their significance in creating spatial depth, and likewise the brightness, saturation, and hue aspects of achromatic and chromatic colors are examined on a scientific and theoretical basis. The role of light and shade relationships in revealing the plasticity of form and in determining the texture of objects and their position in space is disclosed. Methods of creating distance, depth, and a realistic appearance among objects by means of aerial perspective are substantiated. Relying on the views of art scholars and renowned painters, the article elucidates the questions of compositional balance, rhythm, and harmony in the process of working on a still life. This approach serves to develop students' artistic thinking, aesthetic taste, and creative decision-making skills in fine art lessons.
