Abstract

This article elucidates the pedagogical and psychological foundations of developing the artistic imagination of pupils in grades 5–7, as well as modern educational technologies. The age-related characteristics of middle-school pupils and the factors involved in developing their creative thinking and aesthetic perception are analyzed. Ways of forming the artistic imagination in fine art lessons through interactive methods, project-based instruction, digital tools, and compositional exercises are substantiated.
