Abstract

This article analyses, from a scientific and research perspective, colour harmony and the technology of preparing natural dyes, which form an integral part of the traditional pottery art of Uzbekistan. The article examines sources of raw materials, the chemical and technical properties of mineral- and plant-based pigments, and their aesthetic functions in works of applied art. It also presents in a comprehensive manner the distinctive colour palettes of the regional pottery schools (Rishton, Gijduvon, Khorezm) and the questions of the transformation of these colours in contemporary pottery.
