STUDYING ARTISTIC AND DECORATIVE ORNAMENTS IN UZBEKISTAN’S ARCHITECTURAL MONUMENTS

Abstract

This work analyzes the distinctive features of the artistic and decorative ornamentation used in the architectural monuments located in Uzbekistan. In the course of the study, the formation and stages of development of the patterns, tilework, ganch carving, and painted elements found in historical monuments are examined. In particular, the artistic and aesthetic significance of decorative art is revealed through the example of such monuments as Registan Square and Ichan-Qala. The work also addresses the contemporary interpretation of decorative ornamentation in national architecture and the issues of its preservation.
