Abstract

The article analyses, on the basis of a comprehensive approach, the issues of ensuring the creative development of pupils through national musical instruments in the music education of general education schools. The pedagogical, psychological and aesthetic potential of performance on national instruments is revealed, and the theoretical foundations of organizing performing activity in music education are elucidated. In addition, the importance of teaching national instruments in harmony with modern educational requirements, the competency-based approach and state education policy is substantiated.
