FORMING CHORAL PERFORMANCE SKILLS

Abstract

In the process of studying a score, a general impression of the tempo of performance is formed, the sections (phrases) of the work are delineated, and the culmination (highest point) of the work is identified both as a whole and within its separate sections. The ability to depict these and to render them expressively depends on the experience acquired over many years.
