Abstract

The article analyzes the pedagogical views of P.F. Lesgaft from the standpoint of organizing musical education within the preschool education system. The principles of non-coercive upbringing, age-appropriate development and conscious activity advanced by Lesgaft are studied comparatively with the content of musical activity defined in the "Ilk qadam" state curriculum. The results of the analysis demonstrate the need to organize musical activity for preschool-age children in a free and psychologically comfortable environment.
